On February 15th of each year, we celebrate the European Perioperative Nursing Day (EPND). The aim of this day is to encourage reflection and focus not only on the quality and a high level of provided care but also on the human dimension of our profession.

Dear Perioperative Colleagues,

On behalf of the EORNA Board of Directors, we wish you a great, safe, and positive perioperative nursing day.

Let this special day be an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to promote our profession and to provide high-quality perioperative care in our working environment, where trust, teamwork, and open communication are of utmost importance for our main concern: patient safety.

This year, the theme is:

Perioperative Nurses: Together we will succeed

We need each other. Let’s stay together, let’s stay united, let’s stay strong. As Helen Keller says, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” This is the way to face challenges, to achieve our goals, and to succeed.
