European Perioperative Nursing Day (EPND) 2026 celebrates the critical role perioperative nurses play in keeping patients safe every time they step into the operating room. Our theme this year — “Surgical Safety Starts with Us” — honours the daily contributions nurses make to safety, teamwork, communication and patient outcomes across Europe.
We start the week with a short video from EORNA President, Jaana Perttunen, who will introduce EPND 2026 and outline our activities for the week.
