Contest Rules

About the Contest

This clinical case challenge invites nursing professionals to submit real‑world clinical cases documenting skin closure using B. Braun solutions, including:

  • Topical skin adhesives
  • Knotless intradermal sutures
  • Or a combined use of topical skin adhesives and knotless intradermal sutures

The objective of this contest is to collect practical clinical evidence from daily practice, reflecting different clinical settings and workflows, and highlighting the important role of nursing professionals in documenting outcomes and supporting best practices in wound closure.

Who Can Participate

  • The contest is open to nursing professionals (HCPs only).
  • Clinical cases may involve skin closure performed by a nurse or a physician, provided that the case is documented and submitted by nursing staff.
  • Participation is restricted to countries where the B. Braun products are registered*.

Contest Categories

The contest features three categories:

  1. Use of topical skin adhesives
  2. Use of knotless intradermal sutures
  3. Combination – Combined use of topical skin adhesives and knotless intradermal sutures

There will be one winner per category.

Please note that only one clinical case per healthcare professional will be accepted.

How to Participate

  1. Prepare a real clinical case using one of the B. Braun skin closure solutions.
  2. Complete the online case submission questionnaire, including:
    • Case information
    • Description of the procedure
    • Clinical outcomes
    • Reflection and professional reasoning
  3. Upload the required clinical photos and, if available, an optional application video.
  4. Submit your entry before the deadline.

Submission deadline: 15 July

Please note that only one clinical case per healthcare professional will be accepted.

What You Will Need

  • A fully completed submission form
  • Clinical photos:
    • Before skin closure
    • Immediately after skin closure
    • Follow‑up photos (ideally at Day 7)
  • Optional: a short video demonstrating the application technique

Evaluation Criteria

Submitted cases will be evaluated by an expert jury using a structured and objective scoring system, based on the following areas:

  • Case information: completeness, clarity, clinical context and patient suitability
  • Procedure description: appropriateness of the closure method and quality of application and post‑application technique
  • Clinical outcomes: documentation of immediate results and follow‑up outcomes
  • Visual documentation: quality and relevance of photos and any optional video
  • Reflection and educational value: clinical reasoning, practical insights and relevance for daily practice

Award per category:
Each category winner will present their case in an EORNA Webinar (15 October) and will receive free registration to the EORNA Congress 2028.

  • By submitting a case, participants agree that texts, photos and videos (unaltered or adapted for format) may be used, disseminated or published by the B. Braun Group, including internal platforms, websites, print materials and professional social networks.
  • Participants confirm that no patient‑identifying data are included and that all required consents have been obtained.
