The 15th NATIONAL CONGRESS OF SURGICAL NURSING is postponed to April 14-16, 2020, maintaining the same scientific program.
Following the specific recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the Health Counseling of the Autonomous Communities, on the express prohibition of the attendance of their health professionals at meetings and Scientifics congresses and due to the rapid progression of the coronavirus epidemic (Covid-19) in Spain, AEEQ had to postpone its National congress.
Regarding the scheduled courses, “2nd course of laparoscopy” and the “1st of Robotics” in the Center of Minimal Invasion Surgery Jesús Usón de Cáceres, with which Aeeq have signed a collaboration agreement, the starting date is not yet clear. Currently, they are programming to be face-to-face and Spain still having strong social distancing measures.
Soon, we will announce the winner of the first AEEQ award: ”Innovation in surgical patient safety”, sponsored by the company Cardinal-Health, as well as the first award AEEQ: “Project I+D+I in Surgical Nursing, sponsored by the College of Nursing of Cáceres.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a test of resilience for nurses across Europe. EORNA stands with you at this difficult time.
Due to the impossibility of hosting a physical event in the near future, EORNA will instead shift to a digital Congress in May 2021. Save the date – we will meet again on 27-29 May, 2021. For more information on the digital Congress, please click here!
We have rescheduled the face-to-face conference in Stavanger for May 2022. You can find more information here!
Event theme: “OR nurse always remains a nurse.”

On behalf of EORNA and its Organising Committee, it is a great pleasure for us to invite you to attend the 10th biennial congress of the European Operating Room Nurses Association. The congress will be held in Norway in the beautiful city of Stavanger from 12th to 15th of May 2022. The venue, Stavanger Forum, is one of Norway’s largest conference and exhibition centres. It will be a great moment bringing together all committed nurses, leaders and perioperative professionals. We hope the scientific programme will offer delegates a wide range of innovative and interesting topics, with oral presentations, poster sessions and workshops. The first call for abstracts will be in March 2021.
